Mr. Gopal, I have nothing but respect for your religion of Hinduism. There are, however, two aspects of it that I object to. One is the caste system and the other is sati-treatement of widows. It would seem that India has made progress in women's rights and I have always acknowledged that. However, even with this progress, India still has a long ways to go in improving the lives of women-female children and thus Indians don't have the moral grounds to attack Pakistan on the same.
However, please bear in mind that just as you may have termned Pakistanis as "Packies" after being particularly incensed, I may have called certain hatemongerers on this newsgroups "Harami Hindus." In fact, I only started using this term after a few Hindu posters (e.g. rkusenet) started calling himself that.
Quotes of President Nixon 790Mr. Gopal I must point out to you that you jump to conclusions too easily. What Nixon actually thought is something we...
I agree and I share the same view. However, I even go as far as to not have a problem with others who force their religion on me. You won't beleive how many Christians have wanted me to join their churches. I have infact attended service at Churches. I have even been to Hindu temples, Jain temples, Sikh Gurdawara, Mormon square in Salt Lake citiy (non-Mormons aren't allowed in the temples).
BTW, Mr. Gopal, you state this fact as it is a well known axiom that "balance btw mosque and state" is required for Pakistan to be a progressive country. What is your prove of this?
These are hypothetical scenarios.
But is it fair for Hindus to oppose the display of ten commandments when the western law is based so much on them?
