Prescott, Ariz. - A former rabbi was sentenced to more than a dozen years in prison for viewing loveually explicit images of young children on his computer.
13-and-a-half-year sentence for one charge of loveual exploitation of a minor and lifetime probation for three counts of attempted loveual exploitation of a minor. He also has to register as a love offender.
The charges stem from images that the police downloaded from Lipman's computer while he worked at a temple in Prescott.
He also faces 16 counts of child molestation and loveual abuse charges in an investigation that involves two teenage girls.
At Lipman's sentencing on Friday, Yavapai County Superior Court Judge William Kiger said Lipman violated his position of trust.
Lipman says he takes responsibility for his actions and he hopes he'll be able to overcome his loveual distortions.
