On the chart showing convictions by ethnic origins, take a look at the units of measure Crane uses on the Y axis;
It ranges from .4 to 2.6 ..... PER 100,000 population!
i.e, the visual representation suggesting that in 1994 Greeks and Italians born Aussies are 50% as likely to be convicted criminals than Australian born is actually based on a difference between .5 and 1 person per 100,000
