After Germaine Greer unleashed her misandrist venom on the late Steve Irwin, Kevin Russ said she keep her opinions to herself.
When a senior member of the Federal Labor Party tells Germaine Greer to shut up - that should be a headline!!!
Might this represent a turning point in Labor policy? Unfortunately, that's unlikely. I'm sure Greer's past rants will still form the basis of Labor Policy, especially anti-family policy, for years to come - no matter how much of a bitter nutter she proves herself to be.
Sure he was often loud, obnoxious and a little embarrbutting but even though his message was very much a positive one, there was clearly little Greer could ever have liked about Steve Irwin - no matter what he did for a crust:
He was male He was happily married He was a devoted father He provided well for his family
What's to like?
Well, if your the leading contagion pen of the fundamentalist feminist movement, there's nothing to like in that scenario.
One amazing piece of hypocrisy in Greer's article was that she lambasted Irwin for supposedly destroying environments then admits to living in the Queensland Rainforest - with her cat!!! Forgive my buttumption but I doubt she lives in a humpy fashioned from bark remnants regularly collected from the forest floor and I expect her cat comes equipped with a full set of claws, teeth and feline instinct.
