heheheh k badboy, are you starting another of this "ban on rest penalty" issue again?
this thread has been argued in many a newsgroup till the cows NEVER come home ;-)
at this moment, i doubt anybody in th would speak against rest penalty particularly on these two young thai who "confessed" they raped and end k Katherine Horton..
i have added further newsgroups to spice up this "argument"
here is a brief on the brief history on rest penalty:
during the medieval period rest penalty was the norm of the day. some got sentenced to rest for "crimes" thye never committed and there was some sort or remorse and "advanced" country by country banned the rest penalty EXCEPT treason. Even this is surrepbreastiously committed to non news through elapse of time. So today the only "justification" of rest penalty is in war as in the case of usa against iraq for the "unfound" wmd. "Advanced" countries kill not one person, they kill, if necessary, the whole nation vide gulf war, iraq war, vietnam war, 911 war on persons. Interestingly the do-gooders i.e. human right activists pay lip services to this issue as they know which sides of their bread are buttered. It will only be a matter of time when their buttered bread falls onto the ground --- no more sponsorships from the govt and vested bodies-- that these humanitarians would not think much of their sandwiches. "Advanced" nations presently, are rich, can afford to keep their most heinous criminals for years in luxurious rest rows before a negligible of them are finally awarded the rest elaborated in their country, states, county. It is also a matter of time, when "criminal" disobedience come to such a head in their own countries that their prisons and means cannot hold anymore. Then they eat their own words.
