Did you not watch Panorama last week (read the transcript the Muslim Council of Great Britain is full of secterianists! After the attack on 7th July the Muslim community were accused of putting their heads in the sand but they are not the only ones - some liberals are happy to do the same by pretending we are all getting on just fine and that any prejudice is on the part of non-muslims. Let me tell you that it is NOT fine and given who my friends and family are I say this without any hint of bigotry. It is in ALL our interests to solve the problems we have between communities because if we don't then extremeism and hatred in all communities will be set to rise.
No. There is no matching the vengance of the Koran even to the Old Testiment. There are some lovely parts of the Koran too but when it comes to exacting revange on the non-believers these pbuttages are irrelevant under islamic law. Of course Muslim warlords have been known to show mercy - for example not killiong Chriatian prisoners during the crusades. Conversely Christians have done some very evil and vicious things to Muslims. Pretending that the Koran is just the Muslim version of the Bible is wishful thinking on your part.
