School parents beware 3846Don't misunderstand, it is a very valid point but it is a simple and obvious one. There are many arguments of both sides that go way beyond the...
How do you know the book discussed loveual relationships? Nothing has been said about the book covering love, only that it covered relationships and an alternative choice of partners by portraying a family with two mums. Kids understand relationships such as marriage long before they understand love.
And more importantly, if you don't want any relationships discussed, how do you think primary school should approach mums and dads? Obviously they cover the atomic family structure and extended family. I remember making family trees that represented marriages etc when I was in school. Adding girl-girl and boy-boy marriages to that family tree would not have harmed anyone, but it might have prevented people growing up with your unfortunate views.
calling people names only shows your own weakness.
The teacher did not discuss the nature of her loveUAL relationship. She discussed her relationship. She didn't go into lesbian bedroom practices. You are making that up.
There are many books that represent the atomic family that are used in primary schools. The teacher used a book that represents a gay atomic family. If the second woman in the family was a man you would have been perfectly happy with the books contents. Your just bigoted against people who are different. You would have benefited from reading a book like that when you were younger.
The articles (did you read them all?) said the students (plural) were asking questions in clbutt.
As more than one student asked it is likely the first questions were dismissed. The fact the teacher had time to get the book shows that the questions must have been ongoing to the point she felt a prepared answer was needed.
The education department agreed and chastised the school for sacking her, and gave her a new posting. The real issue in the news story is the bad behaviour of the school who sacked her not what the teacher did. You seem to be missing that point. The teacher did nothing wrong. Even the school apologised.
Your not doing yourself any favours with that kind of behaviour. Homophobia and Hostility are the trade makes of a small mind. If you want us to believe your intelligent you need to loose the atbreastude.
I have never seen or heard of a "poofter parade", so I cant answer that question. Sorry.
Is it an event sponsored by the KKK or something?
Grow a sense of humour will you. I inserted a joke because you were getting aggressive.
She has no more chance of being gay than any other person in the community. Plenty of research has been done on WHY people are gay. (a lot if it was done by people like you who wanted to eliminate it with some kind of cure) Nothing has ever surfaced to suggest it is pbutted on by the parents biologically or through the environment. 10-20% of the population is just gay for no apparent reason that science can find. Your being alarmist over nothing.
Did you even look up the origin of the mardi gras? Did you look at it's aims and agenda? If you did, your above statement is a lie. If you didn't, your above statement is ill-informed. Either way your wrong.
So you think these people who are often bashed for being gay are out there to "thumb there nose" at us? You thing they are out there trying to provoke trouble? A persecuted minority group, thumbing their noses at the general population will only encourage bigots! Did you even think those comments though before making them.
How would you know? How many gay people do you know? Have you sat down and spoken to them about their beliefs? Or are you just repeating something other people have said without giving it any thought?
Your prejudice is common in the ill-informed sections of our community. The child may never meet you, but there is someone like you in ever neighbourhood. Fortunately this child appears to be well educated, so she will never suffer from the ignorance that your afflicted with.
What is their agenda?
As I said. You don't have to reply to my observation. It was for you to think about offline. Your confrontational response shows an underlying fear of self examination. Are you afraid of being gay? if you realised you were gay, would your hate yourself as much as you apparently hate others? I bet you don't answer these questions. They are too confronting for you to cope with.
They don't say being gay or straight is normal. They say YOU ARE NORMAL no matter who you love. The child will grow up knowing it is ok to follow your heart. I cant think of a better message to be sending young people.
Do you have information showing something different? A statistical study would do just fine. Or are you just disagreeing with me?
I've already said that I don't know what a "poofters parade" is. I do however know that the word "poofter" is an insults applied to gay people by those who hate them. So your statement tells me a lot more about you that it does about them.
Your true colour are now in full bloom.
I originally thought you were just bigoted due to being misinformed, but now I can see you are simply too small minded to learn.
