Easy, we'll go by the legal sense that you love so much. Parents are responsible for the actions of 8 year olds, 8 year olds are considered to be too young to be responsible for their own actions (as we see with the nice young Aboriginal lad who is even older but can not be charged even after taking a tomahawk to an old lady over here in Perth), so anything they participate in they were obviously made to participate in by their parents.

Not too interested in bringing up kids, but I'm a sucker for the "ohhhhh please" approach so could happen one day.
