TRaining is expensive and long term training like apprenticeships virtually disappeared when business decided that the govt should provide training and formal training with its legalities became the norm.

Like the NSW education system the shortage was obvious years ago and business, instead of training more take the profit line instead and are now complaining about skill shortage and high skill costs - they of all should know about supply and demand.
In the next few years watch the NSW govt scream for overseas teachers to fix the mbuttive shortage on the horizon.
