The idealogy of the Drunken Jedi (the fact it has none, apart from the more than occasional beer offering and getting the line wet) is looking better everyday.

People put so much faith in the man made horsepoo called religion - an unprovable fantasy written in times when the world was flat, the sun rotated around the earth and the stars were weapons from God to throw at devils.

I mean - you've got to be kidding!

The only recent religion to be created, Scientology, is unashamedly about tax free thresholds and the raising of a buck.

At least they are honest!

Now, as the more educated west moves away from religion. the less educated east still revels in its hypocrisy, not yet having discovered the freedom of life outside the bounds of some ancient religious totalitarianism.

Religion has nothing to do with God - one can worship God without being involved in a religion, yet you cannot have religion without a God, and the subsequent minions to follow it.

It has never been unprofitable throughout history to be involved in the control of religion. Supersbreastious mumbo jumbe designed to control peoples lives when humanity was too f***ing ignorant to understand how or what made the universe work, often added delightfully to the bank accounts of the story tellers.

What do they do - make up a reason why, religion, vampires, werewolves - you name it - all designed to scare the poo out of people, with the ultimate aim being to control their lives and bank accounts.

The end benefits for those running the religion being wealth and power - the poor dumb schmuck follower loosing total control of their lives.

Just look at the stats:

The teachings in the Koran has led to the control of over 1.4 billion through Islam.

The teachings in the bible has led to the control of over 2.1 billion through Christianity.

The Catholic church alone is the biggest financial power, wealth accumulator and property owner in existence. She is a greater possessor of material riches than any other single insbreastution, corporation, bank, giant trust, government or state of the whole globe. The pope, as the visible ruler of this immense ambuttment of wealth, is consequently the richest individual of the twentieth century. No one can realistically buttess how much he is worth in terms of billions of dollars

The power given to the hierarchial few involved in the running of these religions is obvious - imagine the total wealth involvedl, and wealth gives not only religious power, but political power.

We all are born, we live and die and become maggot food like every other creature.

There is not much we can do about the birth and the rest part - may as well have a beer and enjoy the living bit as much as we can, without the domination of another centuries outmoded doctrine.
