Rifty
No, that isn't really true, and if you read the research which prompted this mischievous thread, you would be in a better position to contribute to it.
Essentially, a particular gene has been mapped geographically and it appears to be strongly correlated with populations which managed to form denser societies, ie societies where specialisation allowed technological and social development.
The gene is absent in those parts of the world which are notable for a complete lack of civilised tendencies.
When I read the Science (or was it Nature?) article at Christmas, I remember having a laugh about it with my brother-in-law when we considered the potential for racist provocation.
It is pretty obvious that africans, aborigines, and others, are notable for their low-achievement, lack of industry, and inability to form complex social structures.
The researchers have made a start at using genetics to establish one possible reason for the apparent "superiority" of some human populations.
I think it's great to see scientists trying to needle the bubble of the ridiculous idea that we are "all equal" and other politically-correct fantasies.
We aren't all equal. Some cultures are a hell of a lot better than others.
Time to reject input from crap cultures which have nothing of any substace to offer modern civilisation.
