After Steve Relles' computer programming job got outsourced to India - he needed work. So he became the one and only Delmar pooper scooper.
"You just walk like you were mowing the lawn, you walk in a grid pattern, back and forth across the lawn."
With the help of his pooper scooper mobile - he hits 20 yards a week.
"And my favorite tool is the cross country ski pole with the ice scraper duct taped to the bottom."
Hunting down those pesky piles.
"Well, I check the back corners, this one dog likes to go in back behind the pine trees sometimes."
Client Bob Wildermuth of Delmar says, "We had some kids stepping in poop, going onto the trampoline, going onto the swing set, so we decided we needed to do something before we get some complaints from parents."
When it comes to finding the poop in the yard, it can be a little tough. It's a littler easier when you have a bigger dog but it can be pretty tough when you have a smaller dog.
"And then you've got the St. Bernards and you never have to look for those, you just, it's a matter of carrying all of the weight out of the yard."
A disgusting job? Try also being a stay at home dad.
"I mean when you're a dad, you get vomited on and all kinds of lovely stuff, so this is nothing." "It's just a minor inconvenience compared to the crushing corporate pressure that I experienced at computers."
And Steve continues making the world a nicer smelling place.
