The spirit of truth doesn't limit it's teachings in such a fashion.
Revelation 13: 8. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
He is the "Word of God".
.....He is the "Lamb slain" before the ''foundation'', (meaning, the over throw, or casting down, from the Hebrew kata bole') of the world...
(13) Jesus said to his disciples: Make a comparison to me, and tell me whom I am like. Simon Peter said to him: Thou art like a righteous angel. Matthew said to him: Thou art like a wise man of understanding. Thomas said to him: Master, my mouth will no wise suffer that I say whom thou art like. Jesus said: I am not thy master, because thou hast drunk, thou hast become drunk from the bubbling spring which I have measured out. And he took him, went aside, and spoke to him three words. Now when Thomas came to his companions, they asked him: What did Jesus say unto thee? Thomas said to them: If I tell you one of the words which he said to me, you will take up stones and throw them at me; and a fire will come out of the stones and burn you up.
(15) Jesus said: When you see him who was not born of woman, throw yourselves down upon your face and worship him. He is your Father.
From the book of Thomas the Twin
John 1
1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. The same was in the beginning with God.
Mark Says: 3:28Verily I say unto you, All their sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and their blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: 3:29but whosoever shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath never forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin:
This agrees with Thomas. Thomas says it better.
Matthew is slightly different. Does that make it a lie, oh lover of black and white? Pray for the baptism of fire, that you might be raised up.
However it does contain Spiritual truth.
quote:Did Jesus say, " I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Of coarse He meant it, oh reader of the gnostic test of John. Does it bother you that it may have been written by Jesus wife MaryJ? Now take some time from the condemnation of your fellow men and learn what he MEANT by it.
Come out from amoung the decieved and learn what Jesus preached, and follow it.
5:48Ye therefore shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect......6:14For if ye forgive men their trespbuttes, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 6:15But if ye forgive not men their trespbuttes, neither will your Father forgive your trespbuttes.
This seems to bother you quite a bit. I can understand from a spiritual level that you hate to see people led away from the teachings of Mohammed, but why the barbed arrows? They will not earn you anything except a reply in kind.
consider this from Thomas:
(44) Jesus said: He who blasphemes against the Father will be forgiven, and he who blasphemes against the Son will be forgiven but he who blasphemes against Allah will not be forgiven, either on earth or in heaven.
and this from Matthew:
5:21Ye have heard that it was said to them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 5:22but I say unto you, that every one who is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council; and whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of the hell of fire. .......... 5:47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the Gentiles the same? 5:48Ye therefore shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect......6:14For if ye forgive men their trespbuttes, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 6:15But if ye forgive not men their trespbuttes, neither will your Father forgive your trespbuttes.
Now, in light of the above writings, who is better off, one who proclaims that Jesus died for his sins and never forgives a slight, or one who is not sure there is a God, but always finds forgiveness for others? I submit that the answer is there in writing, and the Holy Spirit within me says that the second man will find a greator reward, for he unknowingly followed the spirit of God while unsure of his steps, while the first man proclaimed Christ as Lord and turned his back on His commandments.
If Mohammed led his sheep astray, it will be Mohammed that reaps the reward of his sowing, while those sheep will be judged by their own hearts.
There is a spiritual truth not written in the scriptures. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
But this is not the case nor is it what Mohammed taught. The greatest spiritual truths are evident to those who are in contact with true spiritual forces and view life with the wholehearted sincere faith of a child. Any sincere seeker of truth can find the historical sources in the mystery cults and pagan doctrines that predate the life of Jesus and the whole Islamic outlook is but a glorified conspiracy theory. I cannot explain over the internet what our theology is, other than trying to discern from the mishmash of writings what Mohammed actually preached. You can condemn us or not, but you won't learn anything about us on the internet.
Instead of judging a whole faith by the rambings of an old man, why don't you attend a Islamic mosque for a few weeks, then if you want to procede with your character buttasination of people who genuinly love Mohammed and are doing their best to follow his way, you may honestly do so.
