"He might not be stating his opinions; he might be a mercenary paid to make statements that don't represent his opinion. They might not be the opinion of the parties paying him either; they might be propaganda. For example, when Coke paid Bill Cosby to say New Coke was even greater than Clbuttic Coke, Bill Cosby was probably saying what he was paid to say rather than stating his opinion about New Coke and not even the parties paying him might have thought New Coke was greater; they might have been just doing their job when directed by their superiors to find ways to peddle New Coke."
I have never considered this possibility. If he is in the employment of someone then they are not getting value for money given the really crude job he does and the self defeating reactions against the positions he would so weakly support. If however the intended market segment his handlers want to arouse is the extreme radical elements in india then it seems redundant as real indians residing in india are visible enough and all know their views. I rather think he gets a warped pleasure in his behavior, more in line with his obvious other character flaws.
