I did not offer an opinion either way on whether it was right or not, only that the law is there. I said that to disobey the law is stupid. If you can't accept the rules, don't go there.
I can travel to the UK and the USA on business or as a tourist but I am not allowed to work in either on those visas. I would be stupid to travel to either country and work, although it is a basic human right to pursue employment, but I would be breaking the laws of both countries to do so.

As for banning Australians.....go for it. The US is not an attractive destination these days. It would make Osama happy to hear that you had further isolated yourselves from the rest of the world. While your at it, why not pbutt a law which makes Christianity the only religion allowed to be practiced since "In God we trust". They are calling a lot of the shots on domestic matters now anyway and they would be able to take back control of foreign policy.
The God bit I agree with you on. If he existed, saving the Christians from those ungodly Muslims would prove who's side he is on, but I don't expect an appearance.
