Talking of Desecration ... 3169Ah! That makes it all right then! :) Ah! That makes it all right then! :) Hold it right there. I alleged no such thing. I alleged human rights violations on people who you *allege* are...
Talking of Desecration ... 3173If he did, would you fault him if the Saudi government decided to arrest him and burn his bible? Interesting that nothing was even considered as far...
That really is your problem, isn't it. You rely on "faith", rather than facts. Was it "faith" that caused people to riot in Afghanistan because of a lie published in Newsweek about an alleged "desecration" of a Koran? Or was it radical Islamic clerics using the lie to stir up trouble for the Karsai government? Oh, and if 14 people died in this riot, why have there been no ceremonys? Where are the bodys?
Extraordinary claims requitre extraordinary evidence. You made the claim. If you want to have any credibility, it is your responsibility to prove it. You apparently feel that we are to take your word as being the authority on the subject. Sorry, rational debate doesn't work that way.
You saw onme video from the beginning of the war in Afghanistan. There was nothing in it to indicate that they were being mishandled. They were not dragged in that video. They were not manhandled any more than was necessary to get them where they needed top be. The fact that they were shackled is a non-sequitur. All U.S. prisoners are shackled at some time or another. I suspect that even Martha Stweart was shackled when they moved her from one location to anyother. It is SOP. Get a clue, Rumple Rifty.
What other reason do you suppose that we would have for holding these people? We are in a war with terror, Rumply Rifty. As in every war we've ever been in, we hold detainees until the end of the war or until negotiations are made for their release. So when are you going to call for the insurgents in iraq to release their hostages? Oh right. You can't do that, because that would be treason against your wahabbi friends.
I don't make a point of proving other people's claims. These are your claims. Either prove them or shut the f*** up.
I'm not an unreasonable person. If I make a claim, I nearly always provide evidence to back it up. And if I don't and someone asks for it, I always provide that evidence. If you want to play with the adults, Rifty, you are going to have to learn how to act like one.
Oh gee. "Time reported that the man now believed to be the 20th hijacker in the September 11 attacks, Mohammad al-Kahtani, was forcibly injected with fluids, not allowed to go to the toilet until he gave information, threatened with military dogs and kept awake by Christina Aguilera pop songs."
You know what? If I had my hands on that bastard, he'd be dead already. No torture, no blaring music, no standing around for hours and hours. I'd simply run him down with a loaded concrete truck. End of story. If they flew him into New York and turned him loose on the streets with an announcement of who he was, how long do you think he would survive before he was ripped to shreds? Yeah, well, the Christina Aguilera pop songs were probably over the top, and might, in some quarters to be considered "torture".
