Then yours is simply an extension of mine, not something different. But what a stupid thing that would be to do in a country like Saudi Arabia! Civil disobedience depends entirely on the rule of law protecting you up to a point, as in the case of Gandhi in India. If India had been run by Nazi Germany before WWII and not England, Gandhi would simply have been shot. But he was able to use the British code of law to protect himself, even when in jail, when charged with breaking the law.

OK then I'll copy-past part of a reply to George which did address the issue. Happy now? As I stated, simply being a Christian is not illegal and...

I have no sympathy for persons. But they are supposed to be subject to the law and judged by the law. This US administration has allowed the killing and torture of people not because they are persons but because they think they might be. Many of those in Guantanamo were dragged of the streets of Kabul and Baghdad and treated like persons without any evidence that they were.

Forget China, India is where IT is at

Those accused of terrorism are supposed to have the same rights as any other human being until and unless they are legally proven to be so in a court of law that is internationally recognised. In some US prisons, they do not have these rights. Therefore, get your own house in order before criticising others - or at least acknowledge that you have a problem.
