Even more insane is the idea of forcing Telstra to cross subsidise (by bleeding both customers and the shareholders) the subsidisation of comp;letely useless OUT OF DATE technolgy for country users.

Wouldn't it be better to educate country users that they can have satelite, mobile and wireless telophony and broadband access for about 20% more than city dwellers have access to them through cabled systems?
