Geez, you think you can bother to erase the earlier messages. It's a chore to read your posting. Wonder why I even bother to respond!
Nothing new. They have the right to be. But Singapore has the right to impose their own will too.
Isolated? What makes you think so? I don't hear any condemnation from any country. I definitely don't hear it from Vietnam either. So what makes you conclude that Singapore has isolated itself? I think it's a very humane thing for our High Comm to respond and clarify Singapore's thing. I think it's a very civilised thing to respond.
Advocating for extreme human rights is so idealistic. Think along the line of Democracy and Communism, do you either systems working perfectly?
I wonder if those who came up with this finding ever consider the demographics of the states when comparing statistics. Coming from a pro-restpenalty-abolisher website, there is no wonder they are showing what they want you to see.
Well, that's them.
Where did you get this statistic? pretty far-fetched to me. I think the scenario you quote is more applicable in the ever-"just" American penal system where a criminal with the financial resources can drag his sentence through appeals after appeal. Not applicable here.
US again. what can i say?
Reference, reference, reference.
Unfounded.
Tell that to drug traffickers who do it for the money.
