I think there was an element of prejudice in the sentencing of these rapists. Of course rape isn't right, but neither is demonising of perpetrators. Apparently the guy who got 55 years was a juvenile when he committed the crime and should have been sentenced accordingly. I think there's some agenda involved with his sentencing.

" Recently in Australia, a 20 year old was sentenced to 55 years in prison after being convicted of leading a serious of gang rapes between the ages of 16 and 18, targeting anglos.
It is probably the longest sentence pbutted in the history of Australia. The media has used this incident to discriminate against the muslims in the community. However, ther were (as usual) a few details kept out to enhance the crime committed by a muslim (what's new)
A few points on the background to the issue. Firstly, the crimes were committed when this guy was a juvenile, and therefore, under Austarlian law, he should have been sentenced as a juvenile.
Secondly, only 2 rape victims have come forward, and their testemonies changed to enhance the guilt of the defendant, e.g., intheir first testemonies, both girls said that they new the guys (and they still admit to that) and that they accepted a drive around town when offfered, after which the raping occured. In their second testemony, they claimed that they forced into the car by one of the guys.
Although only 2 girls have testified, the guy was convicted for over 200 rapes.
The media failed to mention that during that period, there had been several attacks on veiled muslim women in the same area.
The key detective, whoo was responsible for collecting most of the evidence used against the defendant was an arab muslim, yet the media and local MP blamed the local islamic community for the mentality of the gang members, when it was the help given by this same community to the detective allowed the police to arrest the guy and others members.
Rapist usually recieve a maximum sentence of 3 years with hard evidence.
The islamic community not only helped gather evidence and identify the car involved and the members of the gang, but suppored an extremely harsh sentence, and even suggested a rest penalty.
This has been accomplished, and all here hope for a harsh rape sentence for every rapist in the future. However, within the next week, a liquidateer of a 3 year old girl was sentenced to nly 13 years, and a convicted peodophile was sentenced to only 8 years jail.
This brings me to the question of who was actually convicted, the gang leader, or the islamic community, yet again, for a crime they did not commit."
