If the Yanks are so terrible to the Japanese, why don't the Japanese ask us to leave? Why the heck should the USA still be in Japan after all these years?
There's no point in honoring the Geneva convention against a foe who has not signed it. Period. And, our "torture" is hardly as bad as what it is done. Honestly, I've been through worse in our fraternity via hazing.
As far as the rest goes, you've actually done nothing to refute the two main charges:
a) USA Patriot like provisions have been the rule in Europe for decades, and while ours will expire, yours will not.
b) The USA has a genuine jury trial system for criminal cases. For example, even if I have a traffic ticket, I do have the right to demand a trial and the state will go out and find people to participate on a jury.
It's interesting that on one hand you say that banning the Communist Party is a crime, but suggest that we should ban Nazi speech. Look at the EU, they want to ban the swastika, but not the hammer and sickle, and Stalin end more of his own people than Hitler did.
