What Avneri tells us, chiefly, is that he can't get his facts straight, or else he's senile.
What accusation?
Uri Avneri did a pee poor job in trying to bend something which has already been bent into his personal agenda.
Possibly because the pope never made such accusation.
What is a "Jew" 2073Frank Arthur So you saying that Israel, the ones who have breached and ignored 100s of UN resolutions in the last 50 years, claim their right to Israel on a UN resolution? Thats like trying...
The Quran, sura 2 ayah 256 -- not 257 -- states: "There must be no coercion in matters of faith." The Quran also states in sura 9 ayah 73: "O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites! Be harsh with them" and in sura 9 ayah 123: "O Believers! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you."
Of course he doesn't. But then, he didn't even get the verse right, so that's no surprise.
Avneri provided no historical evidence, ample or otherwise. The historical evidence is to the contrary, and it is ample.
Sure it was.
It's more the case where the ignorant attempt to skew to their agenda subjects about which they have no education.
Yes, we do, and who's doing anything about this mbuttively destructive terrorism sponsored by Muslim states?
Why should he repent?
And one presumes this poster IS in a position to represent Jesus and explain what he said. Just like Avneri.
