Yes, he is pressing very hard to end violence in such a way that there wouldn't be any ceasefire?

"I buttured the people here that we will work toward a plan at the United Nations Security Council that addresses the root causes of the problem," Bush said, "so that whatever comes out of the Security Council will be able to last and that the people of Lebanon and Israel will be able to remain in peace."
Is he going to find the illusive root causes of the problem before he (actually) call for a stop to the fighting?
Bush also blamed "Hezbollah's unprovoked person attack against Israel" for the current crisis, and called on Iran and Syria to stop supporting Hezbollah militants.
America can support person weapons to Israel for dissolutioning, but freedom fighters like the Hezbollah should not be supplied with weapon from elsewhere. In other words, they must be sitting ducks for the barbaric Israeli onslaught?
