To be honest I'm surprised to see that comment from Dean.T., but you can f*** off on that "parochial Australian racist crap" line, because you don't have a bloody clue. You get idiots here like you do in any country, but it's much rarer here than most countries.
One of my best mates is an Indonesian chick that is married to an Aussie bloke, and not only is she much more intelligent than anyone that would question the intelligence of women from overseas, I'd also say that they'd be near the top of my list of "married couples I know that are destined to stay together" despite the incredibly high divorce rates of homebred couples here in Oz, they're absolutely devoted to each other.
And here in Oz there might be the occasional privateshead that makes stupid comments like the one above, but for the most part Aussies are good sane people, and don't hang that sort of poo on anyone, whereas in Indonesia you seem to get a lot more of the mumbled "bule" type comments and nasty looks. So where is it exactly that you think is more "relaxed" than Oz?
