We aren't particular good at this one. Our Breezes are too variable and can tend towards the extremes.

Well this wouldn't work on any shoreline along the GBR (for environmental reasons), other environmentally sensitive shoreline areas (ditto), and then of course it couldn't be placed off any popular beach area (especially where the rich and famous value their land prices) and it couldn't be placed in too remote areas (because the cost of transmitting the energy back to it's required destination would be too high). I believe the setup and particularly the maintenance costs are quite high - buy definition of the harsh environment they are in..

A good option for Aus. We should all have Solar Hot water etc etc. But for primary energy generation you need to work out how much land is required and in what areas. In the drying cloud free areas water could be an issue depending on the generating technology used. Then you also have a problem transferring the electricity back to the seaboard.

Environmental concerns and costs will be herd on this one. It is also a fixed position type generation source. You can't move it around to better serve the consumers of the electricity.
Can be used for Base Load.
It certainly isn't an easy solution to find but a combination of generating methods could prove useful.
