you could at least try a bit harder to support the case for being a dangerous cult that you have done here;
And how does that threaten anyone.. that is; how is it more threatening than the notion (held by Kevin Andrews et al) that God's son was nailed to a Cross to provide redemption for your sins, and if you drink his blood and eat his body you will be saved, rise up and sit by his side in heaven. And your job is to save teh world by converting others to share this view.
Those people have been knows to burn human beings on the basis of even crazier ideas about witchcraft.

Dave, it's simple, any group which has an adherence to another (foreign) authority structure, is viewed with suspicion. And if you consider the history of the Vatican machinations, and the actions of it's agents globally during the heydey of Imperialism and Colonialism, you may well understand their suspicions.
Thats not a defence of China's actions, merely an attempt to see where they are coming from, so they can be headed off.
The proliferation of cults with pyramid shaped power structures does represent a phenomenon which all governments need to be aware of.. as they all have supra-national loyalties.
