The world is finally aware to the fact that more than adherents of any other religion, muslims are fanatical followers of their's. Why this is the case has several explanations. Of these, I find only two credible.
Save western civilization deport muslims 3636Claire, To demand rights, people have to have some kind of power to begin with. Muslim women are totally prisoners in their homes. Most muslim families do not even allow their women to leave...
explanation 1: Islam is a new religion compared to Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc. It will take Islam a few hundred more years to get out of its barbaric ways.
explanation 2: Islam as a religion is VERY direct and clear. It says "do this, or else Allah will fry you in hell for ever." There is no ambiguity about how harsh Allah will be on you if you don't follow his orders. There is no mysticism in Islam, no room for intellectual maneouvering. Things are black and white: do the following set of things and you go to heaven, else you go to hell where Allah will start working on you. I personally think it is the directness and starkness of this message that makes muslims such fanatics. Also Islam is a rules based religion - there are a set of rules (pray 5 times, dont eat pork, dont drink, marry up to 4 times, kill infidels, etc.) which offer its believers a very clear path to heaven. No other religion is like that. In the gospels, Jesus says things like "blessed are those that mourn, for they shall be comforted, blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth etc." The eastern religions are almost totally about attaining some exalted state of consciousness. Other religions lay some importance to the elusive quality "of the soul" while Islam is more like a handbook - do this and you are through to heaven. Else you are fried. So muslim society will always be prone to fanaticism. This has been the case for 1400 years, and I don't think this will change. Till muslims believe that Kuran is the word of God in its final and complete form, there is going to be trouble because the Kuran explicitly orders violence against those that don't believe in it.
