Never meant to infer that you were, you've never come across that way to me at least, even if we do have very differing opinions on a lot of things. In fact wasn't replying to your comment at all, more Axel's comment that suggested Left and racism are mutually exclusive, which they most definitely are not.

It isn't outlandish. In fact if you want to look at things from a purist stance "right" and "left" both really have nothing to do with racism. It's more to do with economics, welfare and levels-forms of governmental control than anything else. How people make money, how money is divvied out, and whether or not people are looked after.

As I've said many times in the past here I don't think any truly right-wing or truly left-wing system is ever likely to survive happily. You need a mix of the good from both. We need compebreastion, we need the ability to have that chance to stumble on something great and be entrepreneurs to maybe become super-rich and look after the family for generations to come even if it never happens to most of us, it's what fuels innovation, invention, compebreastion and finally the economy which determines how well we ALL live.

At the same time we need welfare, and Australia I think is mostly good in this respect, but I think perhaps in many areas it is overly generous. It shouldn't be a picnic, but I'm proud of the fact that every battler in Australia can live comfortably even if humbly, most countries could not say that. What I don't like is parasites that take advantage of that, but I digress, that's another story.

When we use terms like "far right" and "far left" though (or greenleft as I tend to call the "far left") we're not really talking in the "purist" way of things any more. Common language has changed the meaning of those terms. Far right you would think would mean extremely market orientated and not at all for welfare systems, but that's not the case at all.

"Far right" more realistically applies to ultra-conservative racist bigoted poobags, who more often than not are dole-bludgers themselves. All about their supremacy over minorities and how every minority group is somehow dangerous and to be hated and f*** anyone that's different. A throwback mentality. Examples of these idiots are the racist mobs that fireplant Chinese restaurants, cowardly beat the crap out of people because they look "different", and now launch vandalism attacks on mosques.

All about the inferiority of the majority and how every other minority group is special and needs to be worshipped, and f*** the majority. A throwback mentality. Examples of these idiots are those that claim to be about saving animals yet burn animals at protests for laughs, claim to be for peace yet cause riots for fun in their Kylie Moon orchestrated pogroms of destruction, think it's ok for Aborigines to rape children because it's in their culture, beat the crap out of old people for daring to visit political meetings they don't like.etc.etc.etc.

We're either talking extremes or we're not, otherwise we're talking apples and oranges.

I wouldn't honestly suggest a rest penalty for racists, plenty of people out there with mental f***ups, that's just one potential mental f***up of many. But as for the rest penalty itself, that's one of the many places we don't agree. I'm all for it with cold-blooded liquidateers, rapists and paedophiles. I think nothing could serve this planet better. But only in a case of "not any doubt whatsoever". f*** reasonable doubt, it needs to be 1000% set in cement otherwise there is a chance that someone could still be innocent no matter how unlikely, and then jail is the only option. But again, I digress.

I'm for punishment as much as reform. I don't agree that a rapist or liquidateer who some f***wit shrink says "CURED" should be marked as reformed and released, the **** should pay for what he's done. An eye for an eye I think is one of the wisest systems on this planet. Don't do it unless you expect it done to you.

Hey, I might not have exactly been polite, but I think I was fairly level-headed in what I said. Perhaps this post has cleared up my point somewhat.
