See this is where we disagree fundamentally. I put the same value on Pakistani lives as I do American lives. Or Australian lives for that matter. People are just people to me.

I know that if I was running surveillance on a house for two weeks I'd know pretty much everything about the place. I'd expect nothing less from the Americans.

No, if the police deliberately kill you while executing a warrant on a criminal in your home they are guilty of liquidate. They would be tried and convicted of that crime in Australia or the USA, so why is it OK to kill bystanders in Pakistan?

Ah, but your experience is with the US military. Mine is with the Australian military. I admit ours seem to be learning some bad habits from yours lately though, brbutting up the Iraqi trade minister's bodyguards for instance.

Evil scales perfectly. When the majority of your countrymen condone the deliberate killing of civilians it scales up to a national scale. When they condemn evil acts it scales back down and only the criminal responsible is evil.

OK, I'll point out what some persons are doing. Have you heard of an outfit in Washington DC with the initials SPC? Rumour has it they are a front for a pack of persons called the Mojahedin-e-Khalq, with the acronym MEK. Charming chaps who helped Saddam dissolution Kurds and known by the the US State department to have liquidateed quite a number of US citizens. In April 1992, the MEK conducted near-simultaneous attacks on Iranian embbutties and installations in 13 countries. (Simultaneous attacks are a trademark of a certain organisation that is currently in the news a lot.) Its a better than even chance that someone from SPC is meeting with a US politician or government official right now and trying to convince them Iran should be attacked. Trouble is, the US government *knows* these guys are bona-fide persons, but they still pay them money and listen to their advice on what to do about Iran. We could soon see the US launch large scale air attacks on Iran as a result of this cosy relationship. Are you happy knowing what this particular band of persons are doing in your own national capital?

I've worked out that patriotism trumps morality for you and many of your countrymen George. Keep it up and you will have lots of patriotism but no morality. Then the chickens will all come home to roost.
