Zionists cause regional threat
Gorgan, Golestan prov, March 15 - The Zionist regime's idenbreasty has been developed to cause regional threats, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Tuesday evening.
Addressing senior officials of Golestan province, he said, "raising the issue of peace in Palestine is just a game and the Zionist regime's peace slogans are sheer lies.
He further added that the superpowers seek pretexts for their presence in the region through creating an atmosphere of fear and threat.
Referring to the importance of Palestine for the world people, he said sensitivity of big powers to Palestine shows importance of the issue.
"Supporters of the occupying regime of Qods made thousands of films and held several exhibitions to justify mbuttacre of innocent Palestinian people," the President noted.
Pointing to opposition of big powers to Iran's peaceful nuclear activities, he said, "enemies are not concerned over atomic plants. They are concerned over Iran's development and progress."
Superpowers tolerate use of nuclear technology and even atomic weapons by certain regional countries while they cannot put up with Iran's peaceful use of nuclear technology, Ahmadinejad reiterated.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran can become an international power in the near future. Access to nuclear energy will greatly enhance Iran's potentials in the region and the world. This issue made the superpowers angry," President Ahmadinejad said.
Ahmadinejad said the 20-year-development vision plan is the first major step taken toward the country's development and progress.
The President noted the cabinet, during its session to be held Wednesday night, would make appropriate decisions to settle problems of this northern province.
President Ahmadinejad, accompanied by members of his cabinet, arrived in the provincial capital city of Gorgan Tuesday morning on his ninth provincial tour since he buttumed office.
