For the 14th week in a row, advocates for victims of clergy abuse gathered in front of the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in Albany.
Members of the group SNAP -- Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests -- are calling for the removal of Father Daniel Maher. Father Maher has been accused of loveually abusing two church members.
Bishop Howard Hubbard has refused to remove Father Maher as pastor. SNAP said that because of the bishop's decision, children in the parish are now in danger.
SNAP Albany Co-Director Mark Lyman said, "Our opinion is basically that Bishop Hubbard has done zero, and that's what he would get on his report card with reference to his handling of victims. We still have a number of victims who have been unable to find resolution or seek justice."
The Albany Roman Catholic Diocese has said that all allegations of misconduct will be investigated.
