Well Lance tried to put an Equal Opportunity case to the HREOC whining that the lost White Tribe was discriminated against in their own land.. or some such! The HREOC laughed it out of court.. ( Ned and Nev are the last remaining pracbreastioners. ;-)
The fact of a European mainstream is ignored by constructing a mythos that they are the dispossed remnant of the "True Blues", the true, White, settler culture.. and evil multicultural society destroyed that around circa 1970.
To make all this work they have to maintain the fiction of True Blue originating in settler times, although Ned has admitted the name was coined by his cronies!
They have to pretend that capitalization creates a distinction between true blue and True Blue.. although they slide imprecisely between the two whenever it suits; they claim for True Blue any historical cultural reference to true blue, but reject the universal enbreastlement to true blue that we all have by claiming THEY own and CONTROL True Blue. B^D
As a social pathology it is fascinating, and a completely closed system. As with most cults, anyone questioning any element of their hermetic delusion is branded as anti true blue, and anyone claiming to share true blue as common cultural heritage is told they are not True Blue!
The contradictions are manifold.
Ned uses multicultural (multi - many cultures) as a synonym for Multiculturalism (a policy finally recognising the many-cultures making up our society not only since European Settlement, but prior to it, in both this continent, the UK, et al.
When confronted with the many indigenous cultures, the ethnic groups which made up the UK, etc his could only deny that multicultural societies existed before 1970 by insisting they were 'multiciltured' not multicultural! B^D
Challenged that 'multicultured' was a term unknown to anyone but himself, he 'proved' otherwise by finding two (2) obscure net references (from memory one was a performance artist into linguistic inventions and the other a sociologogist.. neither using the term in Ned's context!

When you have to INVENT new words (multicultured) or capitalise old ones and proclaim sole rights to ascribing meaning (True Blue) it's time for the men in white coats to pay a visit.
I find it fascinating... a bit like those virtual countries on the net, where people proclaim them- selves Grand Dukes.. Ned hasn't designed a dress uniform or a flag yet.. but give him time.

Do a google search on the first mention of

you will find it was Che Guava, about the only person at the time the NG was founded who talked about true blue in terms of values and atbreastudes.. who claimed it was open to all who shared those values, and could give that answer when the NG was asked "what is true blue?" and Ned and his mates all sat aroung with their thumbs up their arse, couldn't answer, and then villified Che when he did!
Now you will find Ned and Co have lifted Che's summary of true blue and claim it as their own.. but they then hang all their anti-multicultural bile off it.

True blue is lots of things, and this NG is for the discussion of different perspectives on that original question "What is true blue?"
In Ned's view it is the place where he imposes an orthodoxy.. read his FAQ (or stick your privates in a blender if you want a less painful experience ;-) and it's not hard to see where he's coming from.
