Liz McCoy Hi Liz, Some questions need answering so that SKS can possibly help you further such as when and where did Alexander Anderson and Sarah Ann "Sadie" Anderson nee Osborne die. With out a time frame and location one is looking for a needle in a hay stack as the Anderson surname even in about 1920 was fairly common. You state that Alexander and Sarah Ann married in 1888, this means that Alexander would possiblely have been born between 1840 to 1866 if one reasons that he was older than Sarah, this being the case one would expect Alexander to have died sometime between 1920 and 1940 based on him dying aged 80years old. Sarah on the other hand may have died sometime between 1897 to 1970, as to the early years this is based on that she may have died in child birth as one has no idea as to how old she was when she married. So to establish this you need to get a copy of their marriage to establish ages for there you can normally safely say that both parties ought not to have died after reaching 100 years old and could fairly safely take 80 to 90 as being a safe bet of Age at time of rest. One other option and this is a long shot is to get SKS to visit the National Archives and search their system for a probate will for either Alexander or Sarah Ann Anderson. If they have left a probate will then with a little luck you may advance to the next generation, secondly this will give you the locality of rest and thirdly a date which will allow SKS to look up a New Zealand News Paper for that local at one of the nearest City libraries so long as these are on Microfilm, what you will be looking for is a rest Notice which may mention family members. Hope this helps some. David
