You have certainly given me more information in the past couple of hours than I've had since I began this search. Sorry for the missing info etc, as I said, still very new at all this, I'm sure I'll learn and not make the same mistakes again when asking for buttistance or pointers.
I'm on the Sunshine Coast so will try and get to my local LDS FHC or when I'm next in Brisbane will try and get into the State Library. I'm trying to do as much as I can online at the moment as I don't have a car to get myself around to other places.
I'm keen now to find out what happened to the rest of Maggie's family, I guess that will mean a bit of research in Scotland as I guess it's likely that they stayed there and lived out their lives. I have a photo of Maggie and William taken in 1922 so at least I know what they looked like too. Their youngest son William was my grandfather and lived almost all his life on the family farm he purchased from his parents. My parents currently live on the property next door to it. There seems to be a real lack of information pbutted on through the generations as my Dad doesn't seem to know or remember very much at all about his grandparents, but I guess that could also be a reflection of the time and those things just weren't discussed, there were more important things to do around the farm.
