I am trying to find a connection to a gal, named Deborah Woods of Liverpool, England, b. 1837 and married to John T. Webb. John married multiple times, which makes this a bit harder. One of my suspicions, is that since John was a sea Captain who sailed world wide, met and married Deborah Woods in Australia. Anyone know anything about this family connection? I'd appreciate the help!
Capt. John T. Webb was the son of John Webb and Eliza Ann Kimball of Bath and Gardiner, ME. He was born between 1830 and 1832 in Bath, ME.
He was married at least twice (maybe three times if you include the possible marriage to Harriet Hatch). He married (date unknown) Deborah Woods of Liverpool, England, who was b. 1837 d. June 15, 1881 in Wilton, NH where she is buried. No known children.
Then, on 4-26-1886 in Boston, he married Marguerite Richards of Boston, d. of Henry or Francis Richards and Mary Ellen Ainsworth. The marriage record indicates that this was John T. Webb's second marriage. Marguerite was b. either PEI or Newfoundland about 1860-65, d. at Monson (MA) State Hospital, 1943 where she had been hospitalized for 38 years for epilepsy.
John T. and Marguerite had two children, Maude E., b. 10-1-1886 in Boston and Mary Ethel, b. 1-21-1889 in Boston (4 Goodwin Place).
