GRAHAM families around at this time:-

William Henry FEATHERSTONE
I have a 3xG uncle, William Henry Featherston-e, whose fate is a bit of a mystery that I've been trying to solve lately. He and his wife Hannah (or Anna) nee Rutherford came...

John GRAHAM & Elizabeth nee MEINAY GRAHAM came out on the 'Ganges' 1797, wife "Came Free". They lived at Parramatta where their first five children were Btz at St John's. NSW Gazette states John Graham lost a mare dates numerous Gazetted items for John until 1809 at Parramatta. Their sixth child James is born in Sydney and Btz 25-06-1808 St Phillips Sydney. In Dec 1809, John dies in Castlreagh St Sydney. Elizabeth stays in Sydney is a housekeeper, and then gains a spirit licence in 1811 in O'Connell St. Elizabeth & Thomas Rushton then have a child John who is known as John GRAHAM born 1815. 1822 George GRAHAM son Wheelwright at Parramatta, 1828 Wheelwright at Lower Minto Liverpool. 1830 James son marries Mary Ann WARBY, a parcel of land at Campbelltown is given as a wedding present. This is the first time any member of the family move to Campbelltown. The KEARNS GRAHAM wedding 1824.

John GRAHAM & Charlotte nee MANN GRAHAM, John came out on the "Atlas" in 1802. In 1825 he had a wife and two children at Windsor per Col Sec Letters. Maria b. 1811 & John b. 1823. They also had a child Elizabeth btz 1809 - if she married William KEARNS she would not be mentioned here.

Williams KEARNS father Matthew KEARNS had "Kearn's farm at the Race Ground which was within three miles of Windsor. William's brothers Matthew and John had the land at Campbelltown first by 1828 William was listed as the holder of the property.

Both Graham families were keen horseman riding and attending the races at Parramatta.

My problem is the some family members are stating that Elizabeth Graham who married William KEARNS belonged to the CAMPBELLTOWN family. Other are stating they belong to the WINDSOR family.

There is only one part in my many years of research that put the Campbelltown and Kearns family together. Elizabeth would had six other brothers and sisters, her younger sister Mary married David Maziere. Her rest certificate states informant: Samuel Clark - nephew. William & Elizabeth KEARNS had a child Isabella KEARNS, she married a Samuel Clark, this would make this Mary's nephew.

But why does Elizabeth not appear anywhere else, why is she not showing in the St John COE records as her elder brother Charles Henry 24-06-1798 and younger brother George 04-10-1804 and there after all other brothers and sisters.

The only way I can find this information is to look at burial records for Elizabeth nee GRAHAM KEARNS 13-06-1880 at St Peters COE Campbelltown NSW. Is this possible? How do I go about this?

Anyone who can help with this I would be very grateful. Cheers. Bronwen
