Index to Gippsland Heritage Journal

Hi Everyone,

This is just to let people know that I have now posted online the first of a new series of indexes to Gippsland Heritage Journal.

Previously we published "paper" indexes to issues 1-15. so this is an experimental post of an index to #16, to iron out bugs and trial the process.

and there are details there of a well-known looker-upperer, who is kindly going to offer that service on a trial basis. I will not be doing lookups from the index due to a lack of time - what time I have is better spent indexing the rest.

I am actually rather glad to get this index online, as I think it is the first time the names from the Gipps Land stock brands for 1858 have been on the net.

(for those unfamiliar with the geography, we are talking south-east Victoria)

I am interested in hearing from anyone with comments or suggestions - my e-mail address is beneath my signature. In time we will try and scan in the indexes to 1-15 and place them online, as well as to issues 17-28 - so this is going to be a long process.
