I hope someone may be able to help me. My Grandfather Karl, or Charles Sauer was a musician who came to Australia in 1903. Accompanying him was his wife Annie Charlotte Sauer (vernon) from Star Cross Devon England. They were married in 1902 in England. Now, from. I know, Karl was interned during the First War in Liverpool NSW,1916-1920 and they were divorced in Victoria in 1923. Karl was married 2 more times before he died in 1951.

I have done many searches on the Internet and in genealogical search rooms here (TAS) and In Melb to find Annie ,but to no avail it is as if she has just vanished, I May not have searched correctly. I keep wondering would it be possible for Karl and Annie to have had children?? where did she go. I have spoken to long distant relatives in England and all they can say is that Annie had written back saying Karl had died, and they have no idea where she went to or what happened to her.
So what do I want you ask?, the answer is simple anything!!!!!!. Can someone put me on the right track here this is sending me crazy.... Many thanks Ian
