This kind of statistic always amazes me about the open spaces of Australia. And that's some statement coming from a Canadian, where we also enjoy very low population densities and large spaces!

Yes, it's the Wensleydale Station which is of historical interest. Still in the process of finding out more about it.

Yes, this morning we are shovelling out from our first snow storm. As snow storms go in the Maritimes, this was a light one: just 8" and no driving wind behind it. So this morning, everything is clothed in white, decorated with icicles, and graced by a beaming sun.

Nova Scotia's best seasons are the three that aren't winter, haha. Truly, though, summer and autumn here are out of this world. And the climate is excellent for growing.

p.s. I just input "Balgo" into the multimap.com placefinder, and it came up with "Balga", a suburb of Perth, and "Barga" near Canberra. Google-ing brings up a lot of references for Balgo Hills ... would that be your part of the world?
