Express. Over the last couple of days I've received photographs by email from other researchers which have been far too large to view, or print and I'm cannot find a way of transferring the photos to another programme to enable me to reduce the size. Outlook Express shows the message: "OC removed access to the following unsafe attachments".

Try this - Click on Tools in the top menu bar (or whatever they call it), and then on Options (at the bottom of the drop-down menu that may appear).
Now click on the "security" tab, and halfway down the page you should (hopefully!) see an option "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus". If my guess is correct, you have that option selected. Deselect it, and you should be able to save the photos wherever you wish.

But I would suggest that you relax the OE security door this on a case by case basis, otherwise one of these days a nasty will get under your guard, and you will find yourself inviting a virus onto your computer.
