Hi Jeanette,

Hi Carolyn, I am very pleased to see you posting these URLs again, I have used so many of them and think them invaluable. happy New...

I can only presume that you're talking about the on-line indexes and not microfiche or CDs etc? If either of the latter, look at the first couple of frames of the microfiche set or look at the Help function on CDs.

If it's on-line, BEFORE you do a search, read the text above the search fields and you'll get some of your answers - i.e. ......

The results screen displays some detail on each person found and a reference to the microfiche copy of the complete lists. The Port code (B, F or N) indicates which series of microfiche to look at and does not necessarily indicate the pbuttengers' nationality.

If you're still puzzled, click on "Additional Help" and read that information.

The Month and Year listed are the Month and Year the ship arrived.

Hi all, I am trying to find descendants of Isabella Elliot Ginger and Andrew John Shannon who at one stage fostered...

If you look the actual shipping list on microfiche (B109) then the first page will give you the details of departure, arrival etc. - these fiche are available around Australia and many many centres, not just capital cities - you give no indication of where you live so that's the best I can offer!

For information about arriving, coming ashore, etc. etc. then I'd strongly suggest your library - lots of useful books to be read to give you a better understanding.

Regards .......... Susie Z
