I am living and studying in North Shore. As I know lots of Kiwi in North Shore do not like Asian. I have experiences these also, such as the cashier in Foodtown will not talk and smile to me, but she talks to others. Also, my neighbour told me that he does not like Asian. He said we have given him lots of problems. He has yelled at me and tried to hit me with his car. I was so scared. I thought NZ is a free and multi-cultural country. If they do not like us, why they still want us to come here? I saw an Asian boy walked on the street and suddenly two pakeha boys punched to his stomach. No one cared about an Asian boy hitted by two Pakeha boys. It is so sad. I know some of the Asian are not followed the rules in NZ, but it is only few of them when comparing with the overall New Zealanders. However, the newspapers and TV news like to aggregate the problems. Therefore, most of the New Zealanders are thinking that Asian are trouble-maker, such as my neighbour. I was very upset the way that he talked to me, and the way he tried to threat me. I have never talk to him before (because I have just move to there). The first time he talked to me is yelled at me. I do not feel NZ is a safe country anymore. I hope the government can do something about this issue, before telling people to come to this country.
