I am trying to find descendants of Isabella Elliot Ginger and Andrew John Shannon who at one stage fostered a young girl (Sadie Shannon who had a 'club foot') in Yarraville until she was about 8 or 9 then she boarded with family friends in Moonee Ponds. . In finding descendants of Isabella and Andrew we hope to find out information about SADIE SHANNON - My cousins and I are looking to try and find who her mother was. Sadie's father was Daniel Shannon brother of Andrew.

Isabella's parents were Alfred Baker Ginger 1824-1895 and Elizabeth Morrison 1838-1881. They had five children; Matilda 1861, Emma 1866 m Alex Jeffery, Annie 1868 plus 1 and George 1868 plus 1 d 1868 plus 1. Isabella b 1873. Matilda , Annie and Emma had babies out of wedlock

Any information at all would be greatly appreciated as we have been unable to find any records. Her marriage certificate does not say who her mother was, no record of any birth, and her rest certificate had only her father, mother unknown - information which was supplied by the family.
