Hi to my fellow "listers"! In addition to my personal family history research, over the past year or two I have been gathering info from various sources (indexes, on-line sources, CD-ROMs, etc) for a One-Name-Study of the SEARLE family name in Australia. While this will NEVER be complete, I have finally decided it's about time that I "published" the data (non-living only) on the Internet so that others with a SEARLE in their tree might gain (and-or hopefully contribute) some family info! The URL is: If you have a SEARLE in your tree, please take a look to see if I have their details. Please let me know of any corrections, additions etc. as this is very much "a work in progress" with the resulting website definitely "under construction" - my first foray onto the internet apart from some submissions to "Genes Re-united". Often the same name is listed more than once as I am yet to confirm that these multiple occurrences represent the same single individual. From personal experience (eg with the Cameron one-name-study hope mine will one day become as intuitive and easy to use) it is best to check a nonSearle name (say of a spouse) to quickly find a connection. I hope I have not offended any of my fellow researchers by this post and would welcome any suggestions as to how best to make others aware of this site. Kind Regards Mark
