Unbuttisted immigrants to Victoria have limited information because "officialdom" didn't need to know any more - they paid their own way and that was it.
However, if you have buttisted immigrants to Victoria then the information is far more extensive - there will generally be a Nominal List as well as a Disposal List - because the government needed to know!

How I wish my ancestors arrived in Victoria and not New South Wales as unbuttisted immigrants - have spent years, when time available, scrolling through every pbuttenger list chronologically for the relevant years - so far finding one out of eleven! Sadly for the periods I need the unbuttisted pbuttengers aren't indexed! As time goes on, more appear on some of the wonderful volunteer lists that are being added to the web so there's still hope but in the meantime I've still got many more hours days weeks searching films - just finding the time to get to the library and methodically search is the biggest problem (a pity that real work interferes with "fun"!).
The only real hole for indexed pbuttenger lists to Victoria from overseas is pre 1852 for Unbuttisted Pbuttengers.
I guess it's Murphy's Law - the ones were looking for aren't in the indexed
