Good morning everyone, I am banging my head here trying to figure this out so I'll try to explain it as best...

Hi to all, I am trying to discover which area of the British Artillery my mounted soldier belongs to. It is an engraving, stencilled onto glbutt then hand painted. It is of very high quality and very beautiful. The saddle has a circular emblem emblazoned with the number 15, below that are the letters K.H. KINGS HORSES ? His uniform - Trousers - black-dark navy perhaps in real lifewith single thick red-wine stripe Jacket - red-wine - collar - very high, to chin, painted to give effect of sable-velvet - cuffs -same sable-velvet with very large gold "spear" with keyhole sorry not very good at describing military garments Plastron - heavy gold with sable-velvet running from left shoulder to right side underarm, with badge which appears to be the face of a lion ?? Hat - very tall with lotus flower ?? badge in centre top. gold rope starting right side top curling to brim on left side button and returning across brim. 2 gold ropes fall from right side of top and fall behind his face. The horses blanket is also black-navy with red-wine shark tooth design along edges descending from horse in V form. The painting has the breastle "soldiers of the British army No 47"

Can send a photo of this painting if it makes it easier for you, will mention that the photo will be 704kb, this allows me to see the details a little more clearly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Christine
