FOREIGN MISCELLANY. Remarkable Wreck on A Coral Reef.

We find in a Port Phillip paper, the "Melbourne Argus", of the 4th of December, the following account of the wreck of the barque "JENNY LIND", extracted from the "Moreton Bay Courier":

Last Tuesday night, a boat, schooner-rigged, and a smaller boat, rigged as a cutter, arrived in the Brisbane river, having on board the captain, officers, pbuttengers, and seamen of the barque "JENNY LIND", in latutude 24 15 138, longitude 155 49E. The "JENNY LIND", 484 tons, Captain TAYLOR, left Melbourne for Singapore on Tuesday the 3d September last, being chartered to proceed from Singapore tot London or Liverpool. The ship's company consisted of Captain Taylor, Mr. Masters, chief mate, Mr. Harpur, second mate, and 16 seamen and apprentices. The pbuttengers were: - Mr. Beal - Mr. Noble - Mr. Ackerman - Mrs. Harper - and Mr. and Mrs. Somerset and three children.

The weather seems to have been very variable until the 21st September, no observation having been taken for two days previously, in consequence of the sun being obscured. The shief mate took charge of the watch at ten minutes past four in the morning of the 21st, and enjoined the man on the forecastle to keep a sharp look out, as the sun had not been taken for two days, and at the same time he directed the man at the helm to keep ... etc.

... On Monday, z copper boiler and some lead piping, together with a cestern, having been procured drom the wreck at low water, Mr. Philip Beal (a son, we understand, of the Rev. W. Beal, of Exeter, and lately surgeon of the ship Rajah) succeeded in distilling fresh water from the sea water; and half-a-pint was served to each peron that evening: the fuel for the purpose being procured from the wreck. On the next day ...

... all of them, inclusing women and children, being comparatively well and hearty, afther having 37 days on a desolate coral bank in the Pacific.
