Hi all,
I applied for 136 non-modl visa in march, meds and police reps front loaded shortly afterwards. I am now negotiating with a company that wants to employ me. My occupation is fairly specialized, and even though it is not on the modl list it is in reality an occupation in demand in Australia right now. The company has tried to fill this position for some time, so they are very keen to get me down there as soon as possible. I have a 3 months notice period in my current job, so that leaves the earliest entry date to mid November, just over 8 months after I applied. The visa may or may not be ready by that time, so the company has asked if there is anything they can do to speed up the process, such as sponsoring me, or anything else.
I haven't seen any threads on this, and as far as official information goes I don't see any openings for this. Still got to ask though:
Could there be anything to gain from my prospective employer contacting DIMIA directly to inquire about this, or would that be a breach of rules and just pee DIMIA off? Would an agent be worth considering?
