"My agent told me that I should not wait for the the State-Terrotiry Sponship as the DIMA and State have a shared computer database of approved sponships that mitigates the involvement of the applicant who is just intimated by an Email of the confirmation only. I was happy as this ought to save my about one and half months of process-WAIT. Now, after 32 days of applying for SIR to SA I am in receipt of a request to send the Sponsorship letter within 70 days. I am quite anxious and confused about what's true and what to do? Will I be able to get the sponsorship from state and return it to DIMA within this span? Or is it merely a mistake by DIMA. Can-Should I request for extension of time-lag if I have applied and have not been responded from state within time?"
As you can see by the message above, some agents are advising people to submit to DIMIA without waiting for Sponsorship from the state. Is this a real possibility? Can I submit now having just recieved my TRA acceptance? I am applying for a 137 STNI as a hairdresser. But what happens if they ask me for my sponsorship and it hasn't arrived yet? Also if they turn me down can I change to a 138 without reaplying and starting all over again. Any advice would really be appreciated. Thanks Chris
