I applied for Send Australian Sponsored Subclbutt 138 in Nov 2004.I got request for medicals,PCC along with request for AOS in 3rd week of January.I got my medicals done on 2nd Feb And also sent my PCC on 5th Feb.But for AOS as my butturer was out of Australia for couple of months,we could get that sorted out only in May.Centrelink sent AOS approval information to DIMIA on 16th May.But till date I have recd no reply.
I got my employment reference checked as well on 30th June which went really well and the guys from the consulate were very satisfied.They took few photographs of the office amd my seat as well.

I mailed my case officer in 1st week of july but I got a reply that he was no longer my case officer and that I've to send all my future enquiries to region2.I was initially in region 4.I got a reply from my region 2 on 6th July that some additional checking was going on that I'll be contacted immediately upon its completion.But since another month has pbutted after that mail,I mailed my case officer again yesterday and got the reply that the application is still under processing.No additional documents are required at this stage.I really can't give you the timeframe as to when the application will be finalised.
This wait is really killing me now.I've seen some other threads from people in the same subclbutt who got their visas within week after AOS approval was sent to DIMIA.
How is it that some cases are finalised so quickly and others like us are left waiting, waiting and waiting.And what this additional checking and internal checks are all about.
